I started my career in timber building manufacture & design over 30 years ago working for well-respected North Shields Timber Building Manufacturer J F Potts & Son Ltd.
Starting as a yard lad, then moving on to the manufacturing side of the company gaining valuable experience and many qualifications along the way.
Finally working my way up to the head of manufacture and design where I managed the manufacturing department for over 10 years, designing most of the timber buildings in the J F Potts & Son range.
Unfortunately, after over 30 years, John Potts decided to retire and stop manufacturing sheds & summerhouses. Sadly the manufacturing department was closed and I was made redundant.
As a result of this, my head joiner & I decided to follow a lifelong dream and start a company of our own. In March 2013 after lots of planning and hard work, we opened our doors.
North East Sheds & Summerhouses Ltd now has one of the most experienced teams in timber building manufacture and design in the country.
We now have a small workshop & showsite located in North Shields, Tyne & Wear, where we believe we manufacture some of the finest timber buildings on the market, some of which can be seen on our outdoor display area.
